Lumsden Grinding
We offer both rotary and reciprocating grinding services. Across our group we have 14 rotary and 3 reciprocating grinders. Our rotary grinders can offer grinding up to 126″ dia. while our reciprocating grinding machines go up to and include 192″ (4877mm) x 26.25″ (667mm) with overhang. We can offer the following tolerances
- Flat / parallel to within 0.04mm to 0.05mm per running 300mm (1.5 to 2 thou per running foot)
- Accuracy +/- 1mm to 3mm depending on thickness
- Unspecified dimensions ground to +/- 0.25mm (10 thou)
- Specified dimensions ground +/- 0.12mm 5 thou)
